Breathe. Move. Connect. repeat.

Take me into nature with my yoga mat, good music, a pen and paper and I am a happy woman.

My journey began with dance.  At a young age, as I moved my young body, and clumsy feet, I knew something beautiful was happening because of how dance made me feel. I loved the way the music made me want to move, how my toes felt moving along the floor, and how rewarding it was to learn a piece of choreography from start to finish.

I left dance and Canada to live abroad.  My journey brought me to study Recreation Leadership in College, and around this time I found Yoga.  I felt I had again connected to something in Yoga that made me feel alive, similar to the way dance had done.  I delved deeply into the practice, and travelled to Rishikesh, India to study and complete a 500 hour teacher training in Akhanda Yoga with Yogi Vishvketu and Chetana Panwar.  That was thirteen years ago now, and I have been teaching yoga and mindfulness ever since.

Over the years I have discovered different ways and modalities for movement and mindfulness, most recently embracing the practice of Bowspring (with Desi Springer and John Friend).  I am ever eager to learn new ways to connect and be more fully present in my body, and in my teaching practice, which has been vast. I have taught in the corporate world, on retreat, lead workshops, private and group classes. I love teaching all levels from beginner to advanced because the same intention is present:  The ability to explore and find a place for stillness, rest, curiosity, challenge, and personal growth.

My intention is to meet my students where they are and work to build programs that help them to connect more deeply to their bodies and give them tools to take into their daily lives; to take their practice off of the mat and into the world.
